Gamma Chapter dinner

Gamma Chapter got together to welcome Catherine to the group and also to celebrate Sam's b-day.
We had dinner at Joey Tomatoes and had a lovely time!
Food was delish! Ahi Tuna Tacos sound weird but were awesome, right Michelle? :)

Alumnae Constitution Voting Results 2008

On April 6th 2008 the Local Chapter at UNBC held their AGM.

In advance of the meeting this year two committees were formed. One consisted of only Alumnae Members and the other consisted only of LC members. Both of these committees worked on updates to the Constitution that they felt needed to be done… but only the sections in the Constitution that directly affect their part of the group. The LC focused only on the sections that related to LC business and the Alumnae only worked on sections that related to Alumnae business. After the two Committees had worked on their own sections a representative from each of the committees work together to join the ideas, updates, thoughts and suggestions into one newly updated version of the APB Constitution.

This new version was presented to the Local Chapter Members at the AGM, and members either voted for it or against it. Unlike in past year when members have voted in each and every sentence change this year they either voted for or against the updated version as a whole document. The LC voted to accept the new updated version and then it was presented to the Alumnae Members for voting. The APB Alumnae Members voted to accept the new updated version of the APB Constitution. And the updated version was officially accepted by both groups. And we put it into practice immediately.

These are the Results for the Alumnae votes that were collected:
Yes votes- 20
No votes - 2
Abstain votes - 2

Every member of the Alumnae organization has been E-mailed the updated version of the APB Constitution for their own records. Please keep the document saved on your computer so that if ever you need to refer back to it, or you ever have a question about something you can look it up. Keep in mind that things have changed and it is important that you stay current with the changes so you are up to date not only with what is expected and required of you as a member, but also on our current policies and terms.

Thanks to all the members who voted, your participation is appreciated.

From shine to snow!

Hi ladies,

Calgary......I just thought I would share the view from our windows this morning... see picture below. No it is not in black and white, that is a full colour shot at 8:15 am!!!
Did I mention that yesterday I was wearing a t-shirt and no coat?? Calgary is crazy when it comes to weather. Oh, and on Sat/Sun it will be 20 degrees above, which is great as we are having our moving sale! Have a safe drive!

An Update

Hi Ladies,

I just wanted to say hi and let you guys in on all of the new things going on with me. In January we moved to Grande Prairie, Matt accepted a job transfer here doing Commercial Sales at Kal Tire. It was a bit of an adjusment for me seeing as I figured I was a total PG lifer, but I have really enjoyed GP so far. It is a nice city and is close to Edmonton which is nice. I got a job before I left working for a mortgage broker here as an assistant which I really like and was what I was doing in PG. I am going to take my mortgage broker's licencing course starting in the fall and will hopefully be licenced by the following fall so that I can work from home. I will still be working for the same company which will be really nice as the people I work with are great. We bought a new house in February which was a super relief from the place we were renting for the first month. It is in a newer subdivision and is really close to work. It is half a duplex and has lots of room and a kitchen that I love, a fireplace and a walk in closet! I'm pretty much in love with the house! Now we have to finish the basement and do the landscaping on the yard this summer and it will be perfect! Marshall is doing well and adjusting to all of the changes like a champ. He is getting big and will be two in May. He is talking lots and very active and can be a handful at times but is at a really fun phase and makes us laugh alot. He is getting a very definate personality and sense of humor which is really amazing to watch. I am having a hard time with how big he is getting and how much of a boy he is now. Last but not least we are expecting another baby at the end of August. My official due date is the 21st. It was a bit of a surprise, but we are really looking forward to having another one. So that is pretty much the big changes with us. And in less big news, Marshall is now in a big boy bed and completely soother free (which was a very big step for him). I have included some pictures of the house, the babies' ultrasound pictures and some pictures of me, Matt & Marshall. The one of me is my new haircut (I was in need of something new for spring). I hope this post finds you all well and I hope you all have a great time at the retreat, I wish I could be there.

hello!!! I have just recently come from the LC AGM, and I thought I would post some pictures! um.... Robyn (who we love) will be sending out all the details, but in brief, everything went well. Not a super high attendance, but we met quorum so its all good. Next year was planned, and some major issues that needed to be addressed were addressed.
I couldnt make the formatting work for the labels, but I'm going to assume you are smart enough to figure it out ;)
Robyn says she will post more pictures on the local chapter's website
