I havn't updated in a while, so I guess it's my turn!
Curt and I are moving...yet again...in 12 days! We bought a house in North Vancouver, and have sold both sides of the duplex we built last year. It all happened quite fast, like wihtin 3 weeks we sold two houses and bought our new house. We ar super excited about this new place, because not only are we finally on the North Shore, but also because the house is virtually a dream home for us! It' a total fixer-upper (what we wanted!), it's a 70's flashback house complete with shag carpet and avacado green appliances. Thankfully we have three weeks between moving in and moving out of our house that we can go over and blitz paint the whole house, rip up carpeting, lay new hardwod flooring and we've also ordered new appliances for the kitchen (thank you dear husband, because I refuse to cook on a 30 yr old stove =P). We're also stoked because it has a pool! Yes....a POOL! Hello pool parties at the Watts' house!!
I'm also 16 weeks pregnant now and really starting to show it! Thankfully we have a ton of people helping out with the new house, because I don't know how long I'll last with cleaning and painting etc. I have my next ultrasound in two weeks and I'm hoping it will be the *big ultrasound* where we find out the sex!! If not, then I have to wait a few weeks more, but I'm pretty sure I'll know for when we're up in PG for the retreat! How exciting!!
Anyways, can't wait to see those of you in PG!!
-Sarah

Hi Girls!Okay, I think I finally figured out how to post a picture! (Thanks Sarah). Here is my Honey. I hope we have gorgeous and smart kids.
Updates from me include that I am knee-deep in another home renovation (what a shocker) and will be finishing the house in the next few weeks. I will be sure to send you all "before and after" pics, as this place has certainly gone through a transformation! It has been a really fun and creative experience though, and I can't wait to start making it look pretty again. (It's still too cold for flowers I am told.)
I am looking forward to seeing you all at the retreat in May as I just booked my ticket the other day. Miss you all!Love Nat

Greetings from Alexis Creek
Good Evening to all my sisters!
I am trying to be more dilligent in providing updates, as I know I am probably the most terrible at keeping up to date.
I am still living in Alexis Creek, and my position was extended until the end of July. Work is going good, learning more every day. Who knew that mapping would be as much fun (and challenging) as it is? Aleixs Creek is even more smaller than Anahim Lake, but at least I am close to Williams Lake so that is good.
Spring time is finally here in the Chilcotin, with the snow finally gone. The parents are good, Cora is good, and now 11. My sister is doing very well with her pregnancy. Soon I will be an aunty again, and I am very excited for that.
May is coming soon, with convocatin around the corner. I am wanting to come to PG for the Relay for Life and the Alumnae Retreat.
I am very excited for Pam's wedding, which is fast approaching as well. August! The same time as my birthday =)
I am still with Barry, and that is going well. At times it is hard to ajust to being in a relationship for me, but we are doing fine. He is busy with work, and I am too. He works graveyards which makes little time for us, but we always keep busy on the weekends.
Easter is fast approaching, and I am looking forward to the family get together, Easter Hunt and of course, Church.
Well, I better sign off of here for now. Happy Easter everyone, and God Bless during this holiday.
Keep me posted on how you are all doing. I will post some pictures from work, since I am terrible dial up at home.
Take care, miss you and love you all.

Hey All
Thought I'd write a little something to keep you updated. By a funny coincidence I'll be in PG at the same time as the retreat so I'll get to catch up. My brother is getting married that weekend. Otherwise thered be no way of me going. I am soo busy now. I'm working two jobs and I barely have time to sit down anymore except to wrestle with the kids or read a book together. I'm training to be manager of a video store and will be taking over there in May. Very exciting, as well as I'm still at Michaels as a fill in. The kids are doing great and Kaden will be 2 on Sunday. The main reason to be killing myslef with all this work right now is that my landlord has decided to move out and let me rent the whole house so that means my daughters can come back home and live with me now. I'm so excited, I'll have tons of room. Well it was great seeing what everyone is up to on here. Congratulations Lisa! Being a mother is the greatest adventure of all. Welcome to the joys of motherhood. Love you all Ally

Meet: Sarah Angelina Walker

I would like to introduce my daughter, Sarah to everyone. She is such a special gift and we're doing really well. After 30 hours of labour she was born March 22 and weighed 8lbs 2oz. Now at home we're all adjusting to a new shedule and enjoying our new family.
What a wonderful feeling to be a parent.

Alumnae Retreat in PG
Hi all,
I'm on Spring Break & thought I'd start planning some more for the May long weekend alum retreat in PG. I'd like to start getting confirmations from people on whether or not they are coming & if you are planning on coming, if you need accomodations, transport (if flying in), and an idea of what you hoped to do when back in good ol' PG. So comment on this blog & I'll get planning!
Can't wait to see you in May!!!

Baby Stuff

Here is a picture of my big belly and the baby's room. It's the smallest room in the house, but really how much room does a newborn need? I'm going to the Dr every two weeks now to check for any signs of early labour. It's a bit scary to think that I'm going to have to push the little creature out of my most intimate parts, but I guess that's part of being a woman.
March 24 is coming up fast, I'll keep everyone updated on my progress! Lisa
PS: Congratulations Cheryl on your Graduation, and to Amanda for securing another teaching position!! And to Mel, we love Canada Post here too, doesn't anyone know what customer service is anymore?

The great adventures of a zip sweater....
So here I am in rainy haney wondering where oh where could my zip sweater be... all the other girls appear to have recieved their articles of clothing weeks ago. I decided to phone the UNBC bookstore and see what they had to say: After tracking my package (good ol canada post) they informed me that my package was recieved and delivered on the 19th of January and that it was also signed for. Now forgive me, maybe I had too much to drink on that thursday ; ) but I never signed for anything. So I decide to call my landlord incase they signed for something over two weeks ago and just forgot to tell me. Nope, nobody recieved a thing. (who i wonder is so proudly wearing an Alpha Pi Beta Zip Sweater in my neighbourhood?) So I again call UNBC and ask what shall I do, they suggest I phone Canada Post because when they track it, it is in Maple Ridge. So I call Canada Post. Well Canada Post cant help me because I dont have a tracking number... I call UNBC, get the tracking number. I call Canada Post, ah yes its at the Maple Ridge Distribution center. Oh so I'll just go and pick it up. Nope. Cant do that because it is a HUGE wharehouse and there are thousands of packages. I cannot expect them to be able to find my lonely little package that has been sitting in the distribution center for two weeks, because of all the thousands of packages also residing there. The lady at Canada Post tells me I will need to phone UNBC and get them to call Canada Post and ask for an enquiry into why my package has been sitting in the distribution center in Maple Ridge for two weeks. WOW! Then I ask how come my package was not delivered, or if it was and was unsuccessful, why did they not leave me a little door tag telling me to pick up my package from the post office. Well she says there was no little door tag because delivery was never attempted! They recieved it and shelved it? Still not understanding why it was never attempted to be delivered and why I cannot now just go and get my package I again phone UNBC. What great and understanding people at the bookstore! So on my 5th or maybe its 6th call to UNBC (Cant wait for my phone bill!) they tell me that they will call Canada Post ASAP to find out how come it was never delivered but their tracking says it was and signed for... So the great lady at UNBC bookstore calls me back and tells me that they called Canada Post and put in an enquiry, it will take three to four days for Canada Post to figure out why my package is just sitting at the distribution center and was never delivered.... 20 minutes later my landlord calls to tell me my package has arrived!
Oh the joys of Canda Post!

My Update =)
Hello There Everyone!
Well, here is my update. I finally graduated from UNBC, with a joint major in International Studies and Political Science. (It was about time, I have taken four and a half years off of school here and there....so long overdue...looking forward to convocation!) I am very happy for that, I managed to grad despite being the politician that I was, working full time, and commuting back and forth to Anahim Lake every week!
Now, I am working for the Ministry of Forests and Range in Alexis Creek working in the mapping and tenures departments. It is good, learning curve, taking some gis training, and having fun. I work for my very good friend Jasmine, which helps. I do miss my forestry work outside so much though. I am living with Barry as well, so it definately is good to have him around every day and night.
Things are good, it is weird not seeing UNBC, and I miss everyone in PG already. I spent the last year living with Cheryl Wilson, and I got to know the new girls really well, and I miss all of them.
I will keep you all posted on how I am doing.
My job is an auxillory position, so if it does not extend after the March madness, I may go back to Anahim Lake. I will keep all of you posted.
Miss you all, love you all.
Cheryl

More updates
Hey all, so glad to hear everyone is doing well. What's new with me? Well early last year my Dad bought me an acoustic guitar and I spent the rest of the year trying to teach myself how to play it! So for my Birthday in November my Dad bought me lessons! I have learnt much in the three weeks I have been taking the lessons and am well on my way to learning a song! What it is I have no idea but it repeats the A and E cords for the whole song... not hard to learn you think... trying to get the chord changes and strumming done at the same time... difficult! I also decided that I no longer would just talk about and dream about trying new things and have started taking Latin Dance class, apparently I have natural hip rythm... hehehehe. Our first dance is the merengue, then we will do the cha cha and lastly the salsa. Should be interesting! I am still looking for new and better employment (the pay sucks where I am and I'm sooo tired of just getting by!), I guess one day something will come up that is totally perfect for me! Until then I will push on and on... My cat and I are doing well in our thumbnail sized home, waiting for that prince to show up and sweep me off my feet (hope he likes cats!). Well thats about all, cant wait to see everyone at the retreat. Miss you lots

Alumni Clothing
Hey girls.. has anyone else gotten their Alumni clothing yet? I already emailed Jamie about this but i thought i'm mention it to you guys. I'm very disapointed with the UNBC bookstore and i think next time we should use someone else with our clothing. First of all i recieved my hoodie yesterday. that's just over a month it took them to embroider 3 letters and mail it to me. Second is instead of Alpha Pi Beta, my hoodie proudly displays the Greek letters for Alpha Delta Pi. now, screwing up the order of our letters i could almost forgive.. but where did they get the Delta from??
I'm just wondering if anyone else has recieved their clothing and if there are any other mistakes.. or am i the only one? I'll be phoning the bookstore on monday to see what they can do to fix my hoodie.

A Teacher Again!
Good news everyone,
I just got offered a full time position at Duchess Park Secondary for next semester. It's an intense semester & I'm totally freaked out about taking it on so I'm just hoping I survive. I will be teaching 4 courses (Science 9, Science & Tech 11, Math 8 & Essentials of Math 11) meaning no prep block so it's going to be tonnes of work... so if you don't hear from me until June don't be suprised!

Updates continued
News from Smithers...
It's snowing here finally, before Christmas it was pretty green around here, like much of the province. Clint and I spent the holidays in Ontario with his family, which was nice but it was my first time away from my mom and dad for Christmas. We did get to Vernon to see them for New Years and they'll be coming up to Smithers for a vist when the baby arrives this Spring.
I'm in my 7th month of pregnancy now and no complaints! I'm lucky to be having an easy time, because I hear that some women are quite sick and uncomfortable. We have just set up the baby's room and now it seems I'm ready to have a little one under my care. I'll be sure to let you all know who arrives in March, we don't know if it's boy or girl, surprises are fun!
Can't wait to hear more news from you all,
Lisa

Life Right Now
Me...
Still working as a substitute teacher but next semester looks promising. There are at least 2 science teacher positions opening up, one of which is at College Heights (where I taught last year) with at least one course that I have experience teaching. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed because while the no marking or planning aspect of subbing is nice, it would be much better to have a steady income! Wedding plans are coming along as well... everything important is booked & we now need to attend to the "smaller" things. My dress should arrive in February so I'm very excited... especially to be able to wear one that fits me!
Nathan...
Is in his last semester of this B.A. degree & will convocate in May. He's currently volunteering in a Grade 5 classroom & will be starting his volunteering at the Art Gallery (student programs) later this month to get some knowledge of fine arts at that level. He hopes to enter the education program at UNBC in the fall & finish as an elementary teacher in a couple years.
Cyrus...
Is growing like a weed... I can't believe he's 8 months old already & that we've had him for half a year! He's still a hyper crazy little monster sometimes but I can't imagine life without him anymore. We begin puppy obedience level 2 with him next week. We taught him how to skateboard for this end of training trick for level 1 so we're trying to think of something cool to get him to do this time.
We're heading out to the cabin at Summit Lake this weekend & I want you to know that I'll be thinking of all of you that came out there that reading week so long ago! I should bring "Clue" back so we can play it at my place in May for old times sake :)

Update!
well it's been a little while so i'm curious to see how everyone's doing. I'm doing great! I was offered a full time position with the calgary health region last thursday, which i accepted of course!! we just switched over to 10 hour shifts for a 3 month trial so it's a bit tiring.. but i really enjoy my job. I've applied to Red Deer College for their pharmacy tech program. unfortunately my pharmacy tech diploma from Sprott Shaw in BC isn't recognized :( ah well.. hopefully i can get into the fast track distance course through RDC and be properly certified in a year. Other news is i've decided to get more active this year so i joined a floor hockey league with the calgary sport and social club. our first game is this sunday and i'm very excited to be playing. so that runs for 9 weeks.. should be fun. my holiday to England and Scotland in May is still a go! i should be buying the plane tickets in a couple weeks or so. I'm very very excited for that!
Other than that not much happening. i'm moving at the end of the month.. with working 10 hr shifts my current place is way too noisey! so i'm moving to a friend's basement suite.. which actually is closer to work so it works out better for me anyway.
So what's new with you guys?

Natalie's Moving Again!!

Hi Girls!
In the new tradition of using this site to update our sisters, I am moving once again! I am leaving the house that I gutted and redesigned (and had our very first sorority retreat in) and am off to find a smaller home. I did make a huge profit though and can now live mortgage free!! Girls, my advice to you all is do the hard and dirty work now, so that you can live long and prosper later in life! I love you all and thanks to the girls who filled my house with life, joy and love. See you all at the next retreat! I am including some pictures for the girls that were here and didn't see the finished kitchen and basement!
Love Natalie

Gamma Chapter X-mas Dinner
The Gamma Chapter held our first annual X-mas Potluck to great success!
Suzy, Mel, Laura, Shannon, Trish and Sarah congregated at Sarah's house, and welcomed active member (and long-time sis!) Cheryl for a scrumptious feast of lasagna, cabage rolls, yams, ceasar salad and yummy Cobb's bread. We also nibbled on homemade cookies for dessert, and not to mention the awesome appie spread before dinner!
It was a great evening filled with reminicing, gabbing, laughing and all-around good times!
