Hello Everyone!

Hi Ladies,
I just wanted to say hi and let you know what is new with me. So I am alumni now and I'm pretty excited about it. I've really missed being a part of the active group, and this is a nice way to keep the sorority in my life without having to leave the house! I have a little boy who is 4 months old (his birthday was May 24th) named Marshall Easton Alexander Kiteley, so getting out and mingling can sometimes be a challenge (Sarah you'll understand soon!) But he's great and I'm really loving being a mom, and I'm enjoying being at home with him. As well I'm all graduated from UNBC which is awesome, I'm really glad I got my degree out of the way before Marshall came along. I had him on the Wednesday afternoon and I went to grad on the Friday morning, it was the longest day ever! But I'm really glad I got to cross the stage. Other than that I'm mostly just hanging out with my baby, selling avon, and trying to get involved in some things that get me out of the house. I put in a couple pictures of Marshall, me and my husband Matt so you guys can see them. Anyways I just wanted to say hi and that I hope I get to know you all better! I hope everyone is doing well.

Miss Carrie's Update

That's what my little 3-5 year old munchins call me. Either that or Teacher! For those of you I haven't had the pleasure of seeing recently, I've started at a brand new school in South Surrey, quite close to my house. Morgan Creek Montessori Academy and they wear uniforms - yuck! I hate that they don't have expression to wear what they want, but it's not my school. I am the main teacher and make pretty much all the decisions concerning what happens in the classroom and the kids, so that is REALLY nice. Just administrative stuff I don't do. It has been an incredibley overwhelming first few weeks. I didn't have enough set-up time so I have been trying to deal with set-up as well as getting the kids settled into the class with new routines, rules, and presentations like crazy so they know what to do in the classroom and are working at their level. Mostly focusing on behaviour right now so I don't have a class of hellions the whole year. Most of them are just amazing and so adorable! And for the most part my new boss is pretty good. A welcome change from my crazy boss of last year, which was just a totally draining experience.

I had an amazing summer to rejeuvenate and refocus on priorities. I just felt so messed up after the past year. Which probably explains why I hardly saw any of you last year. I had quite the family summer, visiting my niece in Calgary, relaxing in Whistler with Shane, vacation with Shane in Disneyland, San Diego, and family in Palm Springs, visiting Shane's family in the Okanagan, and a houseboat adventure with my family. I was able to fit in seeing many of you at Amanda & Nathan's wedding, Sam when she was home, and when I was in Calgary - thank you all for being there for me when you probably didn't even know how much I needed each of you! You are all amazing sisters and I am so thankful to know each and everyone of you! Here are some photos of my summer adventures. That's my niece who is now 1 year.

Update and pics

Well I thought that I should say hello and post some photo's. These are from Pam's wedding, sorry non from the ceremony cause I was in it! Anyway things are going well for me, I just started my new job with the surrey school district as a Child Care Worker. Wow what a difference it is working in a school compared to working on the downtown eastside with street youth! I was in an elementry school for the past 3 weeks (they called me Miss. Bailey ( I've been called worse!) and listened when I asked them to do things.... ) sadly I am now gone from there and am in the ever dreaded limbo of whats called a spare board.. this means I can get called anywhere from 5 - 9am to be at work that day.. .yucky! Oh well hopefully soon I'll post a long term spot. Other than that I'm just trying to stay out of trouble (hehehehe) and waiting to turn 30 in two months! Yup thats right, 30! Almost old enough to get married and have babies hey! In the light of my impending 30th B-day I decided that I really should get healthy seeing as I want to live a long and healthy life and there is a horrible amount of health problems in my families history. So to date I have lost 33lbs and hope to lose a few more.... it feels really good to be healthy and have to buy new clothes cause they dont fit.. .too big! One of the best days I've had in awhile was the dreaded change room scenario... you know, knock knock, how you doing in there, is everything fitting, do you need another size. I was like I need something smaller (and this part is usually said very quietly so no one else hears, except in my case...) the sales lady says what size do you need and I loudly and proudly say size 8 please!! Woop Woop... hehehehe. So yup, new job, new body, new mellie ( the man will follow suit shortly I imagine... I'm not sure if he knows I am patiently waiting for him to arrive.... hmmmm). Well I should go cause this is looooooooong, glad to hear everyone is going well, miss ya and love ya all

Amanda's Wedding Pictures

Sorry it took so long to post pics from my wedding... I just got these back from the photographer last weekend! As far as updates go, I've got a teaching position for the year teaching mostly Math this time round. Working slowly but surely on the house... nothing like what Nat can do in a month! Hope to add more soon... but back to lesson planning for right now!

Smithers Update

Hi Everyone,

Things are good on the farm this September. We had a good Summer with some travelling, and lots of time to work on the house. I painted one room and realized how much work was involved, so Nat you're quite ambitious with such extensive renos!

Sarah is sitting up by herself now, she's such a joy to have around. We're excited to hear about Sarah W.'s baby when it arrives, I loved looking at the website!

Amanda, I'm waiting for some photos to be posted of your wedding, I was sorry to miss it.

We've got a busy fall ahead of us with lots of company coming to visit and Clint coming home in a few days. He's been gone all Summer working in Prince George, we visited him once a few weeks ago but he hasn't seen Sarah in a few weeks now.

Have a great Fall,

Lisa

Hi everyone,

I've been taking the free time I have left before the baby comes to update our website. I've added a lot on the baby pages, and on our wedding pages - check it out :)

I will be adding and updating with baby pics as much as I can when she arrives, so keep checking in!

Hi Girls!

I just thought that I might send everone an update on my life, since there have been no new postings in a while.

Well, Amanda's wedding was gorgeous and I enjoyed seeing all of my sisters dancing to "We Are Family" with such enthusiasm!! But I will let Amanda tell you all about those details soon.

I just finished getting my Real Estate License and have been dabbling in that area for a few years already, so this should help me keep going on. I am renovating (again!) but this time it is a project house and not my own, so I am not so bothered by the dirt as I am not living in it! I will be selling it in a month or so and hope to make a profit on it.

I also have a new boyfriend... yes, I ventured where I swore that I would not go again. He is very sweet and quite a gentleman and I am happy to say that there are some nice guys left in the world! Anyways, I am having a great time getting to know him.

I would like to send out an open invitation to any and all girls who want to come out to Calgary for a visit, I have lots of rooms and am currently taking reservations! Ha ha... it's free too. I'd love to see you all soon.

Take care girls, and keep on living. xx Natalie

PS:
Sarah: How much longer 'till baby comes out to play?
Carrie: Did you still want me to take over Treasurer responsibilities before this year's dues come pouring in?
Amanda: Let's hear some details, eh? I want pics from your mom's camera.
Ally" It sure was great seeing you, let me know when you will be in Calgary next.

Bye Girls!!

July 2006

Hello Everyone!
What a busy last couple of months it has been, with July being so full of milestones. I was going to make it to Dom's wedding, although my sister Bonnie ended up being flown to St. Pauls and delivered her baby early. Bonnie is fine, and had a beautiful baby girl! Baby is fine, they are now safely at home, although baby had to be incubated and monitored for three weeks, and we had to wait until she was ready to come home. She was having a hard time learning to suckle on her own, and she was just not strong enough. Bonnie named her baby Sky Jordanna, and Cora is the best big sister ever! I will post pictures I promise.
This past weekend Amanda and Nathan were married as well, but I couldn't make it! I am sorry Amanda, post some pictures asap!
August 5th Pam is getting married, and myself and Mel are in the wedding, very excited for that. Mel, Pam, Lisa and I had alot of fun at Pam's stagette this month, good times had by all.
Played rugby in the Williams Lake Stampede Tourney, had a blast. Saw faces I had not seen in a long time; Jayme, Nora, Lia, and I played with Christine Bock...for UNBC and Abbotsford...so it was awesome to see everyone.
Still working with MOF, was extended till December...working in the Forest Evaluation Program for FRPA...FREP...checking blocks and streams, riparian assessments...soils...outdoorsy stuff...and am enjoying it..
Nothing much else new at this end..
My new office number is 394-4707...had to switch over when I switched from Drafting/Geomatics to Stewardship...
I picked up my RCMP application again, and am currently in the running mode and trying to remain postive and focused...
Well, that is it for now. Keep my posted everyone.
Miss you, love you.

Friends are friends forever... the rest is just geography

HI Girls!

Just wanted to remind you all that if you ever drop into Calgary, give me a call and we can get caught up. Danya, Carrie and I had a blast the past few days shopping, watching movies and (of course) eating! It just reminded me how amazing our friendships are. Keep in touch ladies... you are always close to my heart.

Hugs from your sister,
Natalie

The Fruits Of My Creative Labour!

Hi Girls,

As promised, here are a few pics of the work that I have been doing on my place whenever time allows. Thank goodness for summer break so I can get it all done! What you are looking at is the dining room before and after shots, as well as the guest bathroom before and after shots. I will keep sending stuff as it gets done, but these two are finally finished!

Sarah, I am looking forward to seeing your "done" shots soon!

Miss you all girls, Natalie

Another Girl!!

Oh how exciting, Sarah is having a girl (probably), so many girl babies, but did we expect anything else from our Sisters? Girls are so wonderful, congratulations Sarah.

Any my Sarah is doing really well, she's up to 13lbs and learning new things all the time. I'm taking her to see her Grandparents in Vernon this month, we booked a flight on airmiles because it is over $700 to fly from Smithers.

Hope everyone has a great Summer!!

News from K-rhea

Hello everyone!
I just read over the retreat information. I am still pissed that you guys went and had the retreat without me. I hope you all had a miserable time and wished I was there! I truly from the bottom of my heart regret not being there it makes we want to cry. I am totally at the next one... maybe... I am applying for a university job here and it is a 2 year contract. I hope I get it it is better money but at the same time I hope I don't. I have become comfortable with my current work schedule and all the kids. I have two jobs. My mornings I work at this art kindergarden just singing and dancing with 4 groups of 10-12 kids. I am teaching them conversational English. In the afternoon to late evening I work in an academy teaching 5 classes all at different levels of English. I teach grammar, reading and essay writing. It is not much different from teaching English 170 at UNBC. For my birthday so many kids gave me gifts I was surprised. I forgot that there are children that are good kids. Don't think this has changed my mind about having any but I no longer run screaming for the hills when they come close. I hadn't checked the blog in awhile. I am surprised to see so many babies! Congratulations to all you crazy girls. Well teachers are starting to show up now and I should do some marking. Miss you all tons!

Hi Ladies,

You were asking for pictures of Ruth's little girls when I told you about them at the retreat, so here they are. These are from about 2 months ago when the girls were 5 months old. Abigail (Abi) is on the left and Zabrina (Bri) is on the right. To back up a little for you all, Ruth is my little sister. She got married to Franklin in Belize and they are now living in California. Doing well as far as I know but don't hear from her very much now that the twins are born.
I just wanted to thank Amanda and Lonnie for hosting the retreat this past weekend!
I had a blast, as I'm sure everyone else did! Amanda, your house is so nice and I'm inspired to make my plants mre healthy!
Natalie, it was great seeing you again nd catching up, and it was great getting to know you better Lonnie!

We chatted on the way home about plans for next year's retreat in Vancouver, heehe, we're very excited!

Walker news

My, how fast babies grow, Sarah is already over 10lbs and she's holding her own head up a bit. What a joy she is to have around, my days are busy but so rewarding. There is no love like that of having your own child.

Sorry to miss the retreat, hope everyone has a great time.

Carrie's turn!

Finally another update from me! Well I've certainly been keeping myself busy. I've been teaching Montessori preschool for the morning class all year and that's going ok. The school has turned out to be not what I'm looking for but I sure have learned a lot! I took up some nannying in the afternoons to supplement income. Then I volunteered to be the youth group leader at my church and it's a bunch of overnight weekends until the end of the school year. Then my friend was in a bad car accident so I've taken over her afternoon class at another school (a school I totally love!). So I went from a nice leisurely working part-time to full-time plus craziness! Did I mention this has all been happening since I moved into my new place in February? I love my new place - it's awesome but always so much to do! We're still hoping to have a house warming but the date keeps getting pushed back. I haven't even loaded the pictures from my camera onto the computer yet but I'll try and post pictures another time. My good news is that I've just signed a contract for a different school to start in September. It's quite close to my house (a welcome change after the hour commute) and it will pretty much be my own classroom. It will be me as the main teacher and the owner will be my assistant 3 days a week and another girl 2 days a week. The good thing is that I'll be making the classroom what I want it to be. And it's a brand new school so brand new materials is always fun as well as shopping for cute little items for my school. I'm pretty excited about it and would be more so if I weren't so tired all the time! Looking forward to catching up with many of you at the retreat!

I havn't updated in a while, so I guess it's my turn!
Curt and I are moving...yet again...in 12 days! We bought a house in North Vancouver, and have sold both sides of the duplex we built last year. It all happened quite fast, like wihtin 3 weeks we sold two houses and bought our new house. We ar super excited about this new place, because not only are we finally on the North Shore, but also because the house is virtually a dream home for us! It' a total fixer-upper (what we wanted!), it's a 70's flashback house complete with shag carpet and avacado green appliances. Thankfully we have three weeks between moving in and moving out of our house that we can go over and blitz paint the whole house, rip up carpeting, lay new hardwod flooring and we've also ordered new appliances for the kitchen (thank you dear husband, because I refuse to cook on a 30 yr old stove =P). We're also stoked because it has a pool! Yes....a POOL! Hello pool parties at the Watts' house!!

I'm also 16 weeks pregnant now and really starting to show it! Thankfully we have a ton of people helping out with the new house, because I don't know how long I'll last with cleaning and painting etc. I have my next ultrasound in two weeks and I'm hoping it will be the *big ultrasound* where we find out the sex!! If not, then I have to wait a few weeks more, but I'm pretty sure I'll know for when we're up in PG for the retreat! How exciting!!

Anyways, can't wait to see those of you in PG!!
-Sarah

Hi Girls!Okay, I think I finally figured out how to post a picture! (Thanks Sarah). Here is my Honey. I hope we have gorgeous and smart kids.

Updates from me include that I am knee-deep in another home renovation (what a shocker) and will be finishing the house in the next few weeks. I will be sure to send you all "before and after" pics, as this place has certainly gone through a transformation! It has been a really fun and creative experience though, and I can't wait to start making it look pretty again. (It's still too cold for flowers I am told.)

I am looking forward to seeing you all at the retreat in May as I just booked my ticket the other day. Miss you all!Love Nat

Greetings from Alexis Creek

Good Evening to all my sisters!
I am trying to be more dilligent in providing updates, as I know I am probably the most terrible at keeping up to date.
I am still living in Alexis Creek, and my position was extended until the end of July. Work is going good, learning more every day. Who knew that mapping would be as much fun (and challenging) as it is? Aleixs Creek is even more smaller than Anahim Lake, but at least I am close to Williams Lake so that is good.
Spring time is finally here in the Chilcotin, with the snow finally gone. The parents are good, Cora is good, and now 11. My sister is doing very well with her pregnancy. Soon I will be an aunty again, and I am very excited for that.
May is coming soon, with convocatin around the corner. I am wanting to come to PG for the Relay for Life and the Alumnae Retreat.
I am very excited for Pam's wedding, which is fast approaching as well. August! The same time as my birthday =)
I am still with Barry, and that is going well. At times it is hard to ajust to being in a relationship for me, but we are doing fine. He is busy with work, and I am too. He works graveyards which makes little time for us, but we always keep busy on the weekends.
Easter is fast approaching, and I am looking forward to the family get together, Easter Hunt and of course, Church.
Well, I better sign off of here for now. Happy Easter everyone, and God Bless during this holiday.
Keep me posted on how you are all doing. I will post some pictures from work, since I am terrible dial up at home.
Take care, miss you and love you all.

Hey All

Thought I'd write a little something to keep you updated. By a funny coincidence I'll be in PG at the same time as the retreat so I'll get to catch up. My brother is getting married that weekend. Otherwise thered be no way of me going. I am soo busy now. I'm working two jobs and I barely have time to sit down anymore except to wrestle with the kids or read a book together. I'm training to be manager of a video store and will be taking over there in May. Very exciting, as well as I'm still at Michaels as a fill in. The kids are doing great and Kaden will be 2 on Sunday. The main reason to be killing myslef with all this work right now is that my landlord has decided to move out and let me rent the whole house so that means my daughters can come back home and live with me now. I'm so excited, I'll have tons of room. Well it was great seeing what everyone is up to on here. Congratulations Lisa! Being a mother is the greatest adventure of all. Welcome to the joys of motherhood. Love you all Ally

I would like to introduce my daughter, Sarah to everyone. She is such a special gift and we're doing really well. After 30 hours of labour she was born March 22 and weighed 8lbs 2oz. Now at home we're all adjusting to a new shedule and enjoying our new family.

What a wonderful feeling to be a parent.

Alumnae Retreat in PG

Hi all,

I'm on Spring Break & thought I'd start planning some more for the May long weekend alum retreat in PG. I'd like to start getting confirmations from people on whether or not they are coming & if you are planning on coming, if you need accomodations, transport (if flying in), and an idea of what you hoped to do when back in good ol' PG. So comment on this blog & I'll get planning!

Can't wait to see you in May!!!

Baby Stuff

Here is a picture of my big belly and the baby's room. It's the smallest room in the house, but really how much room does a newborn need? I'm going to the Dr every two weeks now to check for any signs of early labour. It's a bit scary to think that I'm going to have to push the little creature out of my most intimate parts, but I guess that's part of being a woman.

March 24 is coming up fast, I'll keep everyone updated on my progress!
Lisa

PS: Congratulations Cheryl on your Graduation, and to Amanda for securing another teaching position!! And to Mel, we love Canada Post here too, doesn't anyone know what customer service is anymore?

The great adventures of a zip sweater....

So here I am in rainy haney wondering where oh where could my zip sweater be... all the other girls appear to have recieved their articles of clothing weeks ago. I decided to phone the UNBC bookstore and see what they had to say: After tracking my package (good ol canada post) they informed me that my package was recieved and delivered on the 19th of January and that it was also signed for. Now forgive me, maybe I had too much to drink on that thursday ; ) but I never signed for anything. So I decide to call my landlord incase they signed for something over two weeks ago and just forgot to tell me. Nope, nobody recieved a thing. (who i wonder is so proudly wearing an Alpha Pi Beta Zip Sweater in my neighbourhood?) So I again call UNBC and ask what shall I do, they suggest I phone Canada Post because when they track it, it is in Maple Ridge. So I call Canada Post. Well Canada Post cant help me because I dont have a tracking number... I call UNBC, get the tracking number. I call Canada Post, ah yes its at the Maple Ridge Distribution center. Oh so I'll just go and pick it up. Nope. Cant do that because it is a HUGE wharehouse and there are thousands of packages. I cannot expect them to be able to find my lonely little package that has been sitting in the distribution center for two weeks, because of all the thousands of packages also residing there. The lady at Canada Post tells me I will need to phone UNBC and get them to call Canada Post and ask for an enquiry into why my package has been sitting in the distribution center in Maple Ridge for two weeks. WOW! Then I ask how come my package was not delivered, or if it was and was unsuccessful, why did they not leave me a little door tag telling me to pick up my package from the post office. Well she says there was no little door tag because delivery was never attempted! They recieved it and shelved it? Still not understanding why it was never attempted to be delivered and why I cannot now just go and get my package I again phone UNBC. What great and understanding people at the bookstore! So on my 5th or maybe its 6th call to UNBC (Cant wait for my phone bill!) they tell me that they will call Canada Post ASAP to find out how come it was never delivered but their tracking says it was and signed for... So the great lady at UNBC bookstore calls me back and tells me that they called Canada Post and put in an enquiry, it will take three to four days for Canada Post to figure out why my package is just sitting at the distribution center and was never delivered.... 20 minutes later my landlord calls to tell me my package has arrived!

Oh the joys of Canda Post!

My Update =)

Hello There Everyone!
Well, here is my update. I finally graduated from UNBC, with a joint major in International Studies and Political Science. (It was about time, I have taken four and a half years off of school here and there....so long overdue...looking forward to convocation!) I am very happy for that, I managed to grad despite being the politician that I was, working full time, and commuting back and forth to Anahim Lake every week!
Now, I am working for the Ministry of Forests and Range in Alexis Creek working in the mapping and tenures departments. It is good, learning curve, taking some gis training, and having fun. I work for my very good friend Jasmine, which helps. I do miss my forestry work outside so much though. I am living with Barry as well, so it definately is good to have him around every day and night.
Things are good, it is weird not seeing UNBC, and I miss everyone in PG already. I spent the last year living with Cheryl Wilson, and I got to know the new girls really well, and I miss all of them.
I will keep you all posted on how I am doing.
My job is an auxillory position, so if it does not extend after the March madness, I may go back to Anahim Lake. I will keep all of you posted.
Miss you all, love you all.
Cheryl

More updates

Hey all, so glad to hear everyone is doing well. What's new with me? Well early last year my Dad bought me an acoustic guitar and I spent the rest of the year trying to teach myself how to play it! So for my Birthday in November my Dad bought me lessons! I have learnt much in the three weeks I have been taking the lessons and am well on my way to learning a song! What it is I have no idea but it repeats the A and E cords for the whole song... not hard to learn you think... trying to get the chord changes and strumming done at the same time... difficult! I also decided that I no longer would just talk about and dream about trying new things and have started taking Latin Dance class, apparently I have natural hip rythm... hehehehe. Our first dance is the merengue, then we will do the cha cha and lastly the salsa. Should be interesting! I am still looking for new and better employment (the pay sucks where I am and I'm sooo tired of just getting by!), I guess one day something will come up that is totally perfect for me! Until then I will push on and on... My cat and I are doing well in our thumbnail sized home, waiting for that prince to show up and sweep me off my feet (hope he likes cats!). Well thats about all, cant wait to see everyone at the retreat. Miss you lots

Alumni Clothing

Hey girls.. has anyone else gotten their Alumni clothing yet? I already emailed Jamie about this but i thought i'm mention it to you guys. I'm very disapointed with the UNBC bookstore and i think next time we should use someone else with our clothing. First of all i recieved my hoodie yesterday. that's just over a month it took them to embroider 3 letters and mail it to me. Second is instead of Alpha Pi Beta, my hoodie proudly displays the Greek letters for Alpha Delta Pi. now, screwing up the order of our letters i could almost forgive.. but where did they get the Delta from??
I'm just wondering if anyone else has recieved their clothing and if there are any other mistakes.. or am i the only one? I'll be phoning the bookstore on monday to see what they can do to fix my hoodie.

A Teacher Again!

Good news everyone,

I just got offered a full time position at Duchess Park Secondary for next semester. It's an intense semester & I'm totally freaked out about taking it on so I'm just hoping I survive. I will be teaching 4 courses (Science 9, Science & Tech 11, Math 8 & Essentials of Math 11) meaning no prep block so it's going to be tonnes of work... so if you don't hear from me until June don't be suprised!

Updates continued

News from Smithers...

It's snowing here finally, before Christmas it was pretty green around here, like much of the province. Clint and I spent the holidays in Ontario with his family, which was nice but it was my first time away from my mom and dad for Christmas. We did get to Vernon to see them for New Years and they'll be coming up to Smithers for a vist when the baby arrives this Spring.

I'm in my 7th month of pregnancy now and no complaints! I'm lucky to be having an easy time, because I hear that some women are quite sick and uncomfortable. We have just set up the baby's room and now it seems I'm ready to have a little one under my care. I'll be sure to let you all know who arrives in March, we don't know if it's boy or girl, surprises are fun!

Can't wait to hear more news from you all,

Lisa

Life Right Now

Me...
Still working as a substitute teacher but next semester looks promising. There are at least 2 science teacher positions opening up, one of which is at College Heights (where I taught last year) with at least one course that I have experience teaching. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed because while the no marking or planning aspect of subbing is nice, it would be much better to have a steady income! Wedding plans are coming along as well... everything important is booked & we now need to attend to the "smaller" things. My dress should arrive in February so I'm very excited... especially to be able to wear one that fits me!

Nathan...
Is in his last semester of this B.A. degree & will convocate in May. He's currently volunteering in a Grade 5 classroom & will be starting his volunteering at the Art Gallery (student programs) later this month to get some knowledge of fine arts at that level. He hopes to enter the education program at UNBC in the fall & finish as an elementary teacher in a couple years.

Cyrus...
Is growing like a weed... I can't believe he's 8 months old already & that we've had him for half a year! He's still a hyper crazy little monster sometimes but I can't imagine life without him anymore. We begin puppy obedience level 2 with him next week. We taught him how to skateboard for this end of training trick for level 1 so we're trying to think of something cool to get him to do this time.

We're heading out to the cabin at Summit Lake this weekend & I want you to know that I'll be thinking of all of you that came out there that reading week so long ago! I should bring "Clue" back so we can play it at my place in May for old times sake :)

Amanda :)

Update!

well it's been a little while so i'm curious to see how everyone's doing. I'm doing great! I was offered a full time position with the calgary health region last thursday, which i accepted of course!! we just switched over to 10 hour shifts for a 3 month trial so it's a bit tiring.. but i really enjoy my job. I've applied to Red Deer College for their pharmacy tech program. unfortunately my pharmacy tech diploma from Sprott Shaw in BC isn't recognized :( ah well.. hopefully i can get into the fast track distance course through RDC and be properly certified in a year. Other news is i've decided to get more active this year so i joined a floor hockey league with the calgary sport and social club. our first game is this sunday and i'm very excited to be playing. so that runs for 9 weeks.. should be fun. my holiday to England and Scotland in May is still a go! i should be buying the plane tickets in a couple weeks or so. I'm very very excited for that!
Other than that not much happening. i'm moving at the end of the month.. with working 10 hr shifts my current place is way too noisey! so i'm moving to a friend's basement suite.. which actually is closer to work so it works out better for me anyway.
So what's new with you guys?

New Years Eve morning Breakfast

Amanda was in town in Vancouver over the holidays, so some of us decided to go for breakfast on New Years Eve day. Gotta have full bellies before a good night of drinking. And where else would we go, but to De Dutch! Or "super DeDutch" as Susan likes to call it ;)

Good seeing you again Amanda!
